Ecotourism
With generous support from our partners, we constructed a 200m canopy walkway within the Onepone Endangered Species Refuge (OESR) in Amedzofe, Ho West District, Ghana, known as the Amedzofe Canopy Walkway. Since its commissioning in late 2022, the canopy walkway has attracted over 25,000 people, diversifying the livelihoods of local residents from forest dependence to ecotourism-related ventures. The proceeds generated are distributed equitably among all stakeholders, including the communities that contributed land for establishing the Onepone Endangered Species Refuge.
