SMART
We use the Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool (SMART) to monitor wildlife distribution in the Onepone Endangered Species Refuge. SMART is a conservation technology platform with different analysis tools that guide conservation managers in making data-backed decisions.
Audiomoth and Camera traps
To unravel cryptic diversity and distribution of priority species, especially among amphibians, we employ the use of AudioMoths. These low-cost, full-spectrum acoustic loggers, based on Silicon Labs’ Gecko processor range, aid in our understanding. Additionally, we utilize camera traps in the Onepone Endangered Species Reserve to monitor the presence and movements of birds and mammals.
