Emmanuella Kyeremaa has over eight years of expertise in natural resource management, climate change adaptation, sustainable agriculture, green livelihood development, and community empowerment. She holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies, specializing in Agrarian, Food, and Environmental Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands). She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Technology with a focus on Renewable Natural Resources from the University for Development Studies, Ghana.
Prior to joining Herp Ghana, she worked with A Rocha Ghana as a Community Liaison Officer and Gender Focal Person, where she initiated and co-developed the organization’s Gender Policy and Action Plan. She also served in the capacity as the Internal Control System (ICS) Manager, where she supported agricultural product certification.
Having served as the coordinator of Herp Ghana’s TerraFund forest restoration project in Wenchi, Emmanuella now spearheads the organization’s education and awareness program, designing impactful educational activities and supporting local participation in amphibian and reptile conservation, ensuring the long-term survival of these species.
Driven by a deep belief in environmental stewardship, Emmanuella is passionate about empowering local communities, especially women to take active roles in natural resource governance and climate-smart development. She believes we are all stewards of this planet and it is our duty to protect and conserve its resources for ourselves and for future generations.
