Augustine Oti Yeboah holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management (Ecotourism) and a Master of Philosophy in Climate Change from the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani. His academic and research background includes both quantitative and qualitative research development, with a focus on the intersection of nature conservation and human livelihoods.
Before joining Herp Ghana, Augustine co-founded the Alliance for Pangolin Conservation, Ghana (PangolinGh) in 2017, where he led research and conservation education initiatives. In 2020, he also worked with Forest Aid Ghana, coordinating citizen science biodiversity projects, conducting ecological field assessments, and leading community engagement campaigns.
Augustine currently manages two of Herp Ghana’s critical conservation sites: the Onepone Endangered Species Refuge and the Amedzofe Wildlife Park. In these roles, he oversees protected area management, community outreach, ecotourism development, and biodiversity monitoring.
His core skills include project management and conservation education, ecotourism planning and development, camera trapping and spatial monitoring (SMART) and research coordination and environmental engagement.
Augustine is known for being resourceful, detail-oriented, and deeply committed to conservation that balances ecological sustainability with community empowerment. His work reflects a passion for fostering creative, science-based solutions to biodiversity and climate challenges in Ghana and beyond.
