Charles Kojo Amponsah has over nine years of experience in natural resource conservation, environmental education, forest landscape restoration, community-based conservation and project management. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Before joining Herp Ghana, Charles served as Operations Manager at Eco-cycle Ghana Limited, where he led the implementation of clean water supply and sustainable sanitation projects.
At Herp Ghana, Charles plays a key role in managing operations at the Amedzofe Wildlife Park, supporting site maintenance, visitor experience, and community-based ecotourism initiatives. He is also actively involved in the planning and implementation of forest landscape restoration and habitat protection programs, working closely with local communities to foster sustainable environmental stewardship.
Passionate about empowering rural communities to become stewards of their environment, Charles believes that conservation must integrate local knowledge and support sustainable economic development to be truly effective.
